Muscadine Grape Jam
Muscadine Grape Jam
Store bought grape jam leaves something to be desired. Muscadine grapes are a native Southern grape with an intoxicating aroma and a thick, tart skin similar to Concord grapes. Muscadines are most often juiced and made into jelly. In this version, however, we include the whole fruit because the skins contain the tannins and tartness that really make the jam interesting. It makes the best Southern-style PB&J,and is also delicious with blue or goat cheese or on biscuits. Good Food Award Finalist 2011 and 2014.
Ingredients: muscadine grapes, sugar, lemon, ginger, rosemary, pectin, sea salt.
